Feedback from Participants on the program on Teams & Team Building held on June 15, 2002

The names pf participants are not given to maintain confidentiality. The feedback is reproduced verbatim

  • The program was complete in all respects. A good starter for middle level managers
  • The program was well structured and presented
  • The program was well documented
  • The program may be reduced in time
  • I personally feel that the course content was good. It had covered many areas which are necessary for team building, team members and team leaders. My suggestion is it would be more helpful if emphasis is given on problem solving like how to deal with team members who have attitudinal problems, motivating team members including commitment from teams members etc., Overall the program was good and useful
  • Even though the time taken for the workshop was minimal for a vast topic like this , I received many innovative information which will be very useful in building my team and as well as in my career in future
  • The checklists for team needs and individuals and other checklists, skills and techniques taught will be of great use which can be implemented
  • Workshop is very useful for my future. The content is good and at the same time theoretical rather than practical. The presentation is very good and eloquent
  • Good and well prepared. General arrangements are simply superb. Short and sweet, Very good
  • The forenoon session was verbose and can be cut down significantly. The afternoon session was interesting and more applicable for the workshop orientation
  • Should be more interactive in terms of examples

Our feedback to sponsors and participants:

  • Except for two participants with whom we were in direct touch over e-mail, none of the other participants had come prepared with their doubts and problems. We, specifically, made it clear in our announcement that the topic is conceptual and contents were listed. The external programs are not industry specific and cover a very wide audience, but basic principles of management remain the same. Organizational specific issues and problems are discussed only in in-house workshops, as they are sensitive and confidential. Only personal problems of participants are addressed in such external workshops. While the individuals are important, the organizations are more important
  • Without preparatory home-work by the participants, the interaction and examples becomes less, as we do not know the individual's concerns. The participants must know what is being discussed, what they want and what their sponsors want. This was also made clear, as soon as sponsorships were received and confirmed. Only one work related problem was raised and it was answered on the basis of principles discussed.
  • The above is a matter of communication gap between us and participants. The coordinating department in the sponsoring company, is requested to ensure that all the participants get the information we send. Alternatively, the participants e-mail IDs may be given to us, so that we can give them the complete information
  • Our External Development Workshops are very focused on the topics, try to give maximum information on the topic and related topics, within the time available. This calls for total involvement, commitment, concentration and hard work from the participants. The participants must have very high energy levels, ability to think and  concentrate for long hours, an open mind and a burning desire to learn and benefit from such workshops

We take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors and participants and will incorporate the valid suggestions in our future programs

best wishes and regards,
