of BBA/UGP/09-12 / First Batch of students
Our
Managing Partner & CEO, Madhavan Gopalachary, takes
various classes for MBA students. He just completed a course
on Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management for
the students of International Institute of
Planning and Management at Chennai, TN, India, undergoing an
integrated 3 year program of IMI, Belgium leading to a
combined BBA & MBA degree.
A
separate program a session of 14 hours under project
phase where these students were asked to identify some
products and prepare a business plan under his
guidance. It must be remembered that all the students are just
out of high school and very young.
The feedback of
students is reproduced below. The students were given the
choice either to reveal or not to reveal their identity in
their feedback reports. The comments are reproduced verbatim, but put through spell and grammar check. Personal
comments are removed, as they are not relevant to the topic.

Balasunbramnaian
When
I entered the first SBM class it was about entrepreneurship
and types of entrepreneurs. I was able to be attentive for 2
hours when my concentration power is only 45 minutes. I feel
privileged to have an experienced professor for the subject. I
brought back home many good thoughts from the Professor about
handling the business. The notes are perfect for my
understanding and my father really loves the notes. I was able
to understand the subject well as you gave many personal life
and international examples. It is also nice to hear topics
which are out of subject from you sir. Me and my friends are
comfortable in your classes. We hope we will be able to meet
you as our MBA professor in the next year.

Your
way of teaching is really good. Your classes go really interesting
with a lot of real life incidences during your past. I think
you really motivate us by telling us what to do and what not
to do.

I
am grateful to you for asking us to give feedback. To me you
are one of the best three teachers I've had in my whole life.
Sir you are the only person who could finish that days portion
in exact time of 2 hours. I understand you do a terrible
amount of practice and hard work. For a genius like you, it is
very strange that you teach the kids with very less knowledge
covering and understanding our wave length.
Coming
on to the project, the project phase was the most useful thing
in my six months of management study. You've taught us not
only SBM but also marketing, finance and what not. I wish God
gives you plenty of years to live for the benefit of students.

I am feeling very lucky
to get a professor like you. You have helped me a lot during
the project phase when I was not in Chennai. Whenever, I have
sent you mail regarding the project, you have replied very
well. Your way of communication is really awesome. The clarity
of your thought is really great. I am feeling very proud to be
your student. You have done good justice with your subject SBM
and I have enjoyed it so much and learned so many things from
you not only on the subject but also out of the subject. Your
experience has given me a lot of thoughts and figures. One
more thing sir your Hindi is really very good and you are a
nice speaker and convincer. I can't give any suggestion to you
because everything was great and clear.

In my point of view, your class is
one of the most interesting class for me. I liked your way of
teaching. I request you to please don't go fast in teaching
and reduce the contents. Other than that I really liked your
class.

Your experience makes us learn more
practical knowledge. You explain in a good manner such that
students can understand. During the project phase your
guidance was very good. You treated us not like students but
as entrepreneurs.

I am very interested in attending your
class. I request you to do some interesting events during the
class like debate. I really like your lectures very much. Our
class duration for 2 hours and even though there are breaks,
makes it difficult to concentrate.

I have really enjoyed the sessions
with you. Your classes have been both interesting and
informatory. The content could not be more simple to
understand and I truly did get a good perspective on how one
should run their own business and so on. I would not change
anything in the way the classes have been conducted. As far as
the project phase is concerned it was very practical and I
enjoyed the challenge of introducing a new product in the
market. You were both motivating and supportive. I wish we get
an opportunity to have more classes with you.

I am engineering student and I
found your classes extremely different from other
subjects. I really think it is worth joining IIPM and I
thank you for your wonderful guidance during my project phase
and I feel sorry that I did not finish it as planned. I really
enjoyed your classes and thank you very much.

It has been a pleasure to have a Professor
like you. Why because your sessions are more interactive and
creative and you have given a lot of examples which is
relevant to the subject and we enjoyed all your classes.
Personally, I never felt like bunking the classes. The amount
of experience you have be at work or education is tremendous
and you make us to feel where we are and what we have to do in
this competitive world. Your character also says that you are
a perfect gentleman. There is no negative thoughts about you.

The classes are fun and
interesting. A lot of practical content. I like the way, Sir
uses his experience to explain various problems faced by entrepreuner
and businessmen. I enjoyed the Business Plan sessions and was
able to learn a lot from Sir. I am very privileged to be able
to attend his classes. The course content was very interesting
and covered all aspects that needed to be covered.

I have a great privilege for
attending your classes for a semester. It has been great fun
and very informative. The project phase we worked together was
very useful. I personally had great amount of exposure from
the project. The notes of your are very unique. At times I
will be very surprised to see the amount of homework involved
in it and I always felt humble for the homework I am doing.
Sit it's been pleasure working with you and hope to have you
as my faculty in the upcoming semesters.

I was very privileged as I was able
to attend your classes on SBM. We were really pleased by these
classes and we being school students; By attending your
classes our maturity level has increased and now actually we
have an opinion about everything. The contents which were
taught to us was remarkable and the project phase was one of
the challenging things that I had ever done, but we pulled it
off with flying colors. The couldn't have been possible
without your support and encouragement. Your classes were and
will be very useful for us in our present as well as
future. This feedback is long because there is a lot of
benefits that we got from your sessions and this was not
possible by me or I believe anyone else to put it on a piece
